George participates in all investment activities at KKR. Prior to founding Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. in 1976, George was a Partner in the Corporate Finance Department of Bear Stearns & Company, where with Messrs. Kohlberg and Kravis he pioneered the use of leverage in acquisitions. George has been actively involved in buyout activities for almost 30 years.

George received his B.A., Cum Laude, from Claremont McKenna College and his J.D. from the University of California (Hastings) Law School.
