Phil Cunningham is a Managing Director at Accel-KKR with special focus on the firm’s efforts in the emerging growth companies sector.
Prior to Accel-KKR, Phil was the Chief Executive Officer of Advicent Solutions, a provider of SaaS technology solutions for the financial services industry, servicing the world’s largest financial institutions as well as the more than 300,000 financial advisors across the globe. As the CEO he led all aspects of the business.
Phil’s current board seats include: Blue Mountain Quality Resources, Endalia, ESTELA, GPS Insight, Siigo, Singletrack, Teamcore, Unimarket and Uptick.
Phil’s former Accel-KKR selected directorships include: ITC (sold to Zywave in 2020), Salsa Labs (sold to EveryAction in 2021) and Cloud9 Software (sold to PlanetDDS in 2023).
With over 20 years of experience in software and technology that has spanned from large Fortune 500 organizations to smaller high growth software companies, he has spent the last 8 years on transforming businesses backed by private equity investors.
Phil has taken on positions with increasing responsibility throughout his career, pioneering his way through the technology industry. Previously, he held a variety of senior leadership positions including managing director of Vista Consulting Group, the operating arm of Vista Equity Partners and senior roles with Sum Total Systems, Fidelity Investments and Automatic Data Processing.
Phil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing from Rockhurst University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame – Mendoza School of Business.
